I'm Amy, the florist behind Polka Dot.
I've been flowering weddings, celebrations and all sorts of life's moments since 2007, creating things that are a little bit wild, a little bit whimsical and never too perfect. I love colour, texture, beautiful seasonal ingredients and flowers that look as though they've been allowed to do their own thing. If you're looking for neat, rigid and symmetrical, I'm probably not your girl. But if gloriously messy bouquets, trailing foliage and flowers full of personality sound like your kind of thing, we'll get along just fine.

Always completely individual.
No two flowers grow exactly the same way, and I don't think floral designs should look as though they've come off a production line either. My style is loose, natural and creative, bringing together colour, texture, movement and whatever beautiful seasonal ingredients are inspiring me at the time.

Beautiful doesn't have to mean perfect.
For me, the best flowers have personality. They're the ones with the wonky stem that makes the whole arrangement work, the unexpected colour that somehow brings everything together, the foliage that refuses to sit exactly where you put it.
That's what I love about working with flowers. Taking all those beautiful, imperfect ingredients and turning them into something that feels completely right for the person, place or occasion I'm creating them for. So bring me your ideas. Or bring me absolutely no idea beyond “I know what I like when I see it.” We can work from there.

My bridal bouquet was stunning, and Amy decorated our reception room with a mantle flower display and the tables, along with button holes and corsages.
